Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Renalco SA (“Renalco”, “we”, “us”) is an independent private wealth management and family office company based in Geneva, Switzerland. The confidentiality and security of your personal data are particularly important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, protect and use your personal data in connection with this website. It is intended to comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
By browsing further on this website, you consent to the practices described below. This policy applies to all data liable to be collected through your use of this website and may be updated at any time; we therefore invite you to consult it regularly. The date of the most recent update is shown above.
1. Who we are
The data controller is Renalco SA, Rue du Général-Dufour 15, 1204 Geneva, Switzerland (company identification number CHE-107.963.940). For any question about this policy or about how we handle your data, please contact us by post at the address above, by telephone on +41 22 321 17 00, or by email at info@renalco.ch.
2. Personal data we collect
When you visit this website, our server automatically registers technical information relating to your visit, such as your IP address, the website that referred you, the type of browser used, and your navigation history on renalco.ch including the date and duration of your visit. This information is collected automatically by most web servers. It does not generally allow a specific individual to be identified, although in some cases it may make this possible (in particular through the IP address). Renalco does not use this information to identify any particular person.
This website offers two optional forms. Our newsletter sign-up form collects your first name, last name, email address and country of residence so that we can send you our quarterly reviews and monthly article digest; your email address is only added to our distribution list once you confirm it through a double opt-in activation link. We store these details in our database and retain them to send you these monthly and quarterly updates until you unsubscribe, which you may do at any time via the link included in every email. Our contact form collects your name, email address, the subject of your enquiry and your message so that we can respond to your enquiry. Contact-form submissions are used solely to reply to you and are never added to our newsletter or mailing list — the two are entirely separate, and the only way to join our distribution list is the double opt-in sign-up form above. In both cases we also record the IP address and time of submission to help prevent abuse and spam. We process this data on the basis of your consent, solely for these purposes, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing. You may of course still contact us directly by email at info@renalco.ch.
Personal data relating to a client relationship — such as identification, financial and tax information — is collected and processed outside this website, in the context of the relevant client agreement and applicable law.
3. Why we process your data
Renalco may use the data collected through this website:
- to operate, secure and improve our website;
- to send you the newsletters and digests you have subscribed to, and to respond to enquiries you submit through our contact form;
- to better understand how you use our website and to facilitate your navigation through cookies;
- to comply with the legal and regulatory obligations applicable to us.
4. Sharing your data
Renalco may disclose your information only to employees who (i) need to access it in order to process it on our behalf and (ii) have undertaken not to disclose it to any third party. Some of these employees may be located outside your country of residence, including in countries that do not guarantee a level of protection similar to that of your place of residence.
Renalco may also disclose your information to governmental, regulatory, judicial or tax authorities in order to comply with applicable legal, administrative or regulatory requirements, pursuant to a court decision or official request, or where we consider in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our rights, those of third parties or those of the public.
5. International data transfers
The website server is located in Switzerland. Persons resident outside Switzerland should note that any personal data provided through this website will be transferred from their country of residence to Switzerland. By using the website, you consent to this transfer and confirm that you are entitled to make it. Where data is transferred abroad, Renalco ensures an adequate level of protection through appropriate safeguards in accordance with the FADP.
6. Data security and retention
All of the data described above is stored on secure servers to which access is restricted. Within the technological environment it controls, Renalco takes all necessary measures to preserve your data and uphold its confidential status.
Your personal data is retained for the period required under applicable law. Unless the law provides otherwise, the maximum retention period is ten years.
7. Your rights
The exercise of these rights remains subject to the limits provided by law, in particular where there is an overriding private or public interest. To exercise these rights, please contact us directly at info@renalco.ch. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding.
- You may request whether data concerning you is being processed by Renalco and obtain a copy of it.
- You may request the rectification of any inaccurate data.
- You may request the erasure of your personal data or object to its processing.
8. Transmission and security over open networks
Renalco draws your attention to the fact that we cannot guarantee the security and confidentiality of information transiting over an open network such as the internet or email. Such data may be lost, or a third party may access and use it without your consent. Renalco nevertheless takes all currently available measures to mitigate this risk and declines all liability for the security of your data during its transmission to Renalco over the internet. For sensitive information, you may use alternative means such as registered post.
9. Cookies
This website uses cookies. For full details of the cookies we use and how to manage them, please see our Cookie Notice.
10. Applicable law and jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy and any matter arising from or relating to it are governed by Swiss law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute, disagreement or claim arising out of or in connection with it is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Canton of Geneva, subject to any right of appeal to the Swiss Federal Supreme Court.
