The fourth quarter of 2025 was dominated by an atypical sequence of events: the US government shutdown, the resumption of official economic data releases, and then another interest rate cut by the Fed in December.
Meanwhile, Europe maintained a more stable pace, while Asia fluctuated between monetary tightening (Japan) and weak domestic demand (China). In the markets, the dollar alternated between periods of support and decline, oil prices extended their downward trend, and precious metals capped off a record year.
